Foster Parenting

Foster parenting is a difficult, yet incredibly rewarding, process where you open up your heart and home temporarily to a child or children in need. Foster care is meant to be a temporary situation while a child’s biological family prepares themselves to provide the child with the care they need. Occasionally, biological family members are not able to change their lives to be able to parent, and children in foster care become eligible for adoption. These topics, and many more, are covered by vendors and exhibitors at the Adoption & Foster Care Expo, including local departments of social services from around Maryland, DC and Virginia, as well as private foster care and adoption agencies with years of experience working with foster youth.
